Terms and Conditions
In the following terms and conditions “the photographer” shall mean ‘Victoria Carter Photography’. “The Clients” shall be those persons purchasing the service. These terms and conditions cannot be altered unless agreed in writing by the photographer.
Copyright
The copyright Designs and Patents Acts assign the copyright of the images to the photographer.
Display
The client(s) hereby allow(s) the photographer to display any photograph covered by this contract and to generally promote the business in advertising, websites, sample albums etc.
Coverage
Photographs taken during the event will be at the discretion of the photographer, but every effort will be made to fulfil the clients requests. The photographer will do their best to honour requested photographs but do not guarantee any specific picture or location etc. due to changes in weather and willingness of subjects.
For church ceremonies or certain venues the photographers movements are sometimes restricted by the official in charge. Therefore the area which the photographer is restricted to may not be their choice, and they cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view if this is the case.
All equipment is checked regularly and reasonable steps are taken to ensure backup equipment is available, however the photographer will not be responsible for photographs not produced due to technical issues.
Payment
There is a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 to secure the date and confirm the booking, as well as full acceptance of the terms and conditions as published on the photographers website. The booking fee will be deducted from the overall cost when calculating the final balance.
The final balance is due in full 8 weeks before the wedding day. Additional items ordered such as albums must be paid in full at the time of ordering. All goods and photographs remain with the photographer until paid in full by the client(s)
Unforeseen events
In the very unlikely events of cancellation by the photographer or of total photographic failure, liability shall be limited to a full refund of any fees paid.
In the unlikely event the photographer isn’t able to attend on the wedding day, due to any cause beyond their reasonable control, the photographer will try their best to put the client(s) in touch with another photographer.
Files
All photographs and files remain the property of the photographer. All wedding packages include a copy of the edited images to the client(s) for their own non-commercial use. If the photographs were lost, damaged or destroyed for the reasons beyond control, the photographers liability shall be limited to a full refund of any deposits and fees paid, but shall not include a refund for any goods already received.
Personal accident
Any directions issued to clients, their guests or employees during a photographic shoot are deemed to be at said persons own risk. The photographer cannot be held responsible for any personal accidents during a photographic shoot.
Cancellation
If the client(s) need to cancel a booking with less than 8 weeks to go before the wedding date, 50% of the total price will be due immediately.
Delivery of images
The photographer will deliver the images within 2 weeks after the wedding day.
